Chartered by Burlington Lions Club in 1947
1950's broke ground and helped build Maple Street Park Swimming Pool
1962 Finished the basement of the Brownell Library
Early 2000's helped fund the Veterans' Memorial Park at 5 Corners in Essex Junction
2022 Celebrated 75 years of Essex Junction Lions Club

1917 Melvin Jones starts the Association of Lions Clubs in Illinois.
1920 Association of Lions Clubs becomes international when Windsor, Canada Club is established
1925 Hellen Keller addresses the Lions at the International Convention and challenges the Lions to become "Knights of the Blind"
1957 Leos are introduced providing young people an opportunity for personal growth
1968 Lions Club International Foundation is created, providing grants and funding to our communities
1973 Lions Clubs celebrated the 1 millionth member
1987 Women are acknowledged as full members
1990 The launching of SightFirst to help restore the sight and prevent blindness on a global scale
2017 Lions Club International turns 100 years old
2022 Campaign 100 goal is exceeded, LCIF exceeds its goal for Campaign 100 and raises $325 Million during the campaign.
